Take the SHINGLE SPRINGS DR exit off of Highway US-50 freeway – Exit 39.
If going West (to San Francisco) on US-50, turn RIGHT going north on to Shingle Springs Dr, and drive straight to black wrought iron gate (there’s no where else to go). The US-50 freeway eventually leads to US HWY 80 to San Francisco.
If going East (to Lake Tahoe) on US-50 turn LEFT at the stop sign onto Shingle Springs Dr., and drive straight to black wrought iron gate (there’s no where else to go).
Entrance to the road requires you to stop at the wrought iron gate call-box and:
- Using the "A-Z" scroll button at the top of the box, scroll to the name POPLAWSKI and see the number related to the name. Enter this number on the keypad and then push the "call" button which will call the house phone and we will open the gate.
- Call the house or cell telephone numbers, as listed above, and we will give you the current gate code.
THEN DRIVE THROUGH THE GATE.
Then almost immediately after driving through the gate, turn LEFT onto TENNESSEE DR. Then drive approximately 0.5 mile.
Turn LEFT onto RED ROCK LANE, drive 0.4 mile.
RED ROCK LANE has a slight right angle turn where it becomes HILLTOP LANE.
So turn RIGHT onto Hilltop Lane and drive 150 yards up to the house on the left at the top of the hill.
